Punch in, punch (someone) out
I share a wall with three people.
ALL OF THEM are on the phone.
Two of them with each other.
And another one across the room is adding their 2 cents the old-fashioned way.

Grrr. It’s like “the Office” without the laughter.
I live in this environment also. I totally can relate.
